Polyurethane Product Description
Hover For High-Mag
Polyurethane (PU) is an elastomeric thermoplastic which has excellent mechanical properties, combined with a rubber-like elasticity, high shear strength, high elasticity and transparency.
It is also abrasion resistant, absorbs very little moisture and has excellent vapour transmission. SNC uses medical grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with an ultimate elongation of up to 425%, which has elevated resistance to bodily fluids, good oxidative performance, and biocompatible properties.
These nanofibers are highly elastic and able to stretch up to double its original length without breaking and still returns to its original size.
SNC has successfully produced polyurethane nanofibers for use as textile materials and coating materials for filtration applications.
