PCL Product Description
Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is a biodegradable polyester with a Tm of approximately 60 °C and a Tg of approximately −60 °C.
PCL degradation in physiological conditions occurs through hydrolysis of its ester linkages, and it has been used for drug delivery, dentistry, and especially for the preparation of long term implantable devices, owing to its bulk degradation time of greater than 24 months.
SNC has successfully incorporated PCL into wound dressings, implantable tissue scaffolds, cell culture plate inserts for 3D cell culture, as well as face masks for cosmetic applications.
