Gelatin Product Description
Gelatin is a derivative of collagen, obtained by hydrolysation, and is a cost-effective alternative to collagen.
Gelatin is a topical hemostatic but can also stop blood flow by blocking and constricting the blood vessels. Gelatin has been used in implantable medical devices, such as in some bone void fillers, and as well as in cosmetic applications.
Gelatin nanofiber scaffolds have successfully been prepared by SNC for use as wound dressings and cell culture plate inserts for 3D cell culture, and are available in as-spun or cross-linked formats.
