Carbon Nanofiber Product Description

Did you know?
Carbon nanofiber (CNF) derived from PAN nanofiber carbonization offers several advantages above other carbon nanofiber manufacturing methods.
Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) are nanoscale cylindrical structures composed predominantly of carbon atoms. They possess a high aspect ratio, and can have either a graphitic or amorphous structure.
CNFs can exhibit excellent electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and stiffness, making them ideal for reinforcement in composite materials. They also have a porous structure and a large surface area, offering benefits for applications such as gas adsorption, catalysis, and energy storage.
CNFs are chemically stable and resistant to corrosion, enabling their use in demanding environments.
SNC produces CNF by carbonizing PAN nanofiber precursors. By controlling the properties of the PAN nanofbers, SNC can tailor the properties of the CNFs, allowing for customization based on specific application requirements.
CNFs find applications in aerospace, energy storage, electronics, catalysis, filtration, sensors, and biomedical engineering, contributing to improved performance and functionality in various materials and devices.
